There are still some areas of the country suffering from adverse weather, but for the most part, weather is good for production. Milk receipts at the plant level are increasing and welcomed by many bottlers and manufacturers. Production gains are slower than usual and lighter than usual, but nevertheless increasing. There is some evidence of increasing Class IV demand. Ice cream production in some areas is beginning to increase with many plants to increase production shortly.
