Milk production continues to increase in most areas of the country. Severe cold is behind us, but storm systems are moving through the East Coast and Northeast, creating transportation problems. This is not expected to have a large impact on overall milk supply. There are mixed reports about cheese demand with orders slowing in some places while continuing strong in other. Cheese varieties and markets have much to do with what is hot and what is not. Food service orders have slowed as reduction of dairy products in menus are being pursued.
