Volume of Class III milk futures traded on the CME was notably higher Wednesday. February alone traded more than 825 contracts, which is nearly three times more than an average day had been. Deferred contracts also had heavier support and volume. New contract highs were achieved in all 12 contract months for 2014 as traders try to keep up with the higher cheese prices.
