Fluid milk production was mostly steady this week. Milk receipts are higher at most manufacturing plants as they absorb extra milk available during this time of year. Bottling plants are running at reduced levels without bottling for school accounts. Overall, fundamentals remain as they have been for a number of weeks. Milk supply is sufficient to meet demand, but still lighter than desired by most manufacturers. Fluid milk sales during the month of October declined 3.5% for a year ago.
