Milk production has been on a slow climb higher, but slower than anticipated or hoped for this time of year. Milk supplies to manufacturing have expanded, not from higher farm supplies, but from the diverting of milk due to lower bottling demand. It is reported that some manufacturing plants are running at capacity. Both cheese and powder output will increase over the next few weeks hopefully adding to and loosening supply. There are now four trading days remaining this year and emotions will be running high. It would be advantageous for plants to end the year with high-priced inventory ...
