Milk production in the Central region of the country is slightly above seasonal averages, according to USDA's Dairy Market News. However, this milk continues to command a premium upward of $3 with tight supply being noted due to strong holiday demand. Milk supply is showing some initial signs of loosening. Thanksgiving will be here in another week and with it will bring increased manufacturing milk supply. This will be short-lived as bottling demand for schools will again resume shortly thereafter.
