Strength came out of the market as the week progressed. December through February futures contracts were able to close higher than the end of last week. Later contracts closed lower as the weakness in cheese continued, but cheese price weakness was not as great as last week. Milk production is slowly improving as time progresses. Fluid milk demand is expected to increase next week as retailers stock shelves before the week of Thanksgiving. September fluid milk sales declined 1.2% from last year.
