Milk being shipped into Florida is beginning to slow. Milk production in the state is increasing as weather is more conducive to cow comfort. There were 120 loads shipped in this week compared to 178 last week. Plants in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions indicated increasing milk receipts along with increasing components. This is good news to manufacturing plants as many would like to purchase more milk if it were available. Fluid milk demand remains steady with sufficient supply available to bottlers.
