Milk futures saw more activity during the second half of the trading day as interest seemed to slowly improve following the spot trade midday. Support, however, was only a constant in the November and December contract months with 2014 ending the day mixed. Overall it was a good week for front-month milk futures as they found support from the higher cheese prices. Deferred contracts have been unable to generate the same type of support as the industry knows that demand for cheese and butter seasonally hit a lull after the start of the new year.
