Excess milk supply in the Midwest still commands a stiff premium with $3 over class being somewhat the norm. This has not decreased and likely will not for a few more weeks. There are more reports indicating a change in the production trend with increasing milk receipts at plants along with increasing components. This will eventually provide more milk for those who need it and reduce the purchase prices for extra milk. Handlers indicated difficulty in supplying sufficient quantity for those who desire it.
