There is growing concern over the downside potential of milk price next year. Futures already have lower prices factored in, but the current rate of inventory decline and milk production increases may put added pressure on these prices. There are sufficient replacements available at reasonable prices resulting in cow numbers increasing. Lower feed prices will increase the desire to add cows and keep production strong.
