Milk movement this week has been a challenge for many handlers. Milk receipts were lower in many areas due to the hot weather, while bottling demand was higher to provide milk for schools. Labor Day holiday promotions were also increasing demand for various products. This has been a supportive factor for prices, but may not last if today is any indication of market direction.
