Greater volumes of milk continue to move from the Central region of the country to the Southeast to fill school demand. This is the time of year milk moves around country filling demand. Manufacturing milk volumes generally tightens reducing cheese production. This is not always a bad things resulting in less cheese and butter production allowing inventory to decline. Unfortunately, lowering corn futures and the potential for still lower prices may keep production strong enough to satisfy all areas of demand keeping milk prices from rebounding or trending higher.
