Milk production varies across the country. Overall production is steady to higher. USDA will release the July Milk Production report Monday, providing insight to production during hot weather in much of the nation. Production has rebounded a bit since that time, but certainly nothing to indicate burdensome supply. Most handlers are hoping for increased production to help with demand from bottling as well as manufacturing. Fluid milk sales in June lagged last year by 5.9%.
