Various reports continue to trickle in from the West and Southwest as milk receipts have declined significantly from the hot weather. Temperatures are not cooling off very much during the night which provides no relief for cows. Cooling is difficult when blowing hot air around with misters having limited impact. It will be a little while before a true assessment can be made of overall impact. Commercial disappearance of fluid milk over the first four months of the year is 2.0% below year-earlier levels.
