The holiday week has experienced little problems for handling of milk. Class I demand is lighter as expected with milk being moved to manufacturing. Milk production in the West has declined as a result of hot weather both during the day and at night. Forecasts are indicating at least another week of hot weather further affecting milk production. Temperatures in the Midwest are good with little effect on milk production. The California 4a milk price for June increased 15 cents over May reaching $18.39 and $5.22 higher than last year.
