There is not much to say about milk prices and the potential of lower prices based on the trend of milk futures. Hotter weather is having an impact on milk production and components, but not yet to an extent of plants experiencing a significant reduction of milk receipts. Technology and management have improved, resulting in less impact on cow comfort during periods of hot weather. There is only so much cow comfort that can be maintained in hot weather, but farmers continue to do a better job increasing milk production.
