Class I milk demand is about steady with last week. Some colleges and universities are finishing up for the year, but this is so far having little impact on fluid milk demand. Some areas of the country have reached or are near peak production. Other areas continue to increase in production as better weather has improved cow comfort. The only drawback in some areas is new-crop forages will be later in being harvested, delaying increased milk production that generally comes from fresh forage.
