Milk receipts in the Central region of the country were steady this week despite the anticipation of greater milk production as spring flush gears up. Plants were a bit surprised by this, but current weather may have had something to do with it. There is some thought some farmers are changing rations to extend feed supply in order to stretch them out due to the potential for a later harvesting of winter forage and first cutting hay.
