The outlook for milk prices for the year has become more bullish. Early anticipation is for prices to remain sideways through the spring and early summer before supply would tighten and prices increase. Milk production remains strong with product inventory growing. However, dry weather in New Zealand changed this outlook dramatically. The perception and fear is that supply will be curtailed to the international market thereby causing buyers to scramble to source available supply.
