Class III futures jumped significantly on Tuesday and Wednesday as traders reacted to strong prices in the Global Dairy Traded auction. Futures contracts jumped higher than the correlation to the underlying cash. Markets took a breather today needing to wait until the underlying cash catches up. There are five contracts now resting above $19. Lower grain prices are receiving some attention as to the impact this could have on milk production.
