It has recently been released that the budget cuts will affect two important dairy reports. One is the monthly milk production report. The final report will be released March 19. This will leave many in the industry somewhat blind. We no longer will see a percentage or poundage increase or decrease in milk production compared to the previous year. We will not know the increase or decrease in cow numbers or milk production per cow. The only indication we will have is reports from processors as far as milk receipts at the plant level.
