There are some early indications of spring flush beginning to develop. I am not sure what determines when spring flush begins and where general production increases ends. It appears to be calendar related. There is some question as to the potential of spring flush with some thought it will not increase at the usual rate nor reach the usual percentage increase. Heavy culling may limit this seasonal strength. The U.S. City Average Retail price for a gallon of milk in January was $3.526 per gallon down 5 1/2 cents from December.
