There is no doubt milk production continues to remain strong. The recent increase in cheese and butter prices renewed the hope that higher prices will unfold soon. Demand needs to improve more than it has in order to tighten supply. Fluid milk demand has been steady with little being moved to manufacturing as intakes are being balanced with bottling demand. Extra milk is moving around between manufacturers as some plants are full while others have some capacity.
