USDA increased their estimate for milk production this year by 1.1 billion pounds from their January estimate. If this is realized, it would be the second year in which more than 200.0 billion pounds were produced by dairyman. These are estimates with a lot of year to go before the final tally. Weather and feed prices will be the determining factor for the most part. Income-over-feed cost will need to improve or there will be another washout of dairy producers.
