Milk

Milk prices are not finding support as the underlying cheese prices continue to weaken. Overall production is just too strong with burdensome supply keeping bottling and manufacturing plants full. Some areas are seeing milk prices being offered at a discount to class in the effort to find buyers. Milk is also moving greater distances as plants are taking advantage of these prices. There is little, if any, concern over tightening milk supply in the foreseeable future. USDA will release the December milk production Wednesday, which is expected to show another increase over last year. My estimate is for production ...
