Milk production in the Midwest continues to surpass expectations. It is amazing how dairy producers in the region continue to increase milk output despite feed challenges. Weather has been good for production with an overall mild winter so far. Bottling demand has been steady to a bit lighter allowing for more milk to move to manufacturing. Distressed milk is again floating around in the region with spot prices averaging $2 below class.
