Milk supply is becoming burdensome in many areas as bottling demand is reduced. The volume of milk moving to manufacturing has resulted in unloading delays and compounding the problem. Drying operations are being overwhelmed by the volume of milk coming to them. Florida sent 94 loads out of the state to find manufacturing capacity. This compares to 20 loads sent out last year at this time. Weather is good for milk production. A major winter storm is moving along the East Coast and will likely affect hauling and handling until roads are cleared and the weather settles down again. ...
