LIVE CATTLE: $1.90 Lower
DOW JONES: 100 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 21 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $1.39 Higher

Midday Market Update:

Class III futures were slightly higher before spot trading on follow-through short covering. The increase in barrel prices triggered further buying interest and pushed most contracts double-digits higher. Barrel prices increased only 1/4 cent to $1.53 1/4, but that increase spoke volumes to traders. It is the first price increase for the year.
