GENERAL COMMENTS

Mixed livestock futures are focusing on end-of-the-week positioning as demand is expected to remain sluggish through most of the morning. Moderate pressure is seen in lean hog futures as traders back away from the strong strength in the complex seen Wednesday. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher in light trade. Dow Jones is trading 16 points higher, and Nasdaq is 14 points higher.
