GENERAL COMMENTS

Hog buyers have resumed business this morning with bids ranging from 0.50 lower to 0.50 higher. Most of the effort is steady with the bulk of yesterday's cash biz. Cattle buying interest remains slow in developing this morning with just a few bids in Texas noted at $142. Asking prices remain firm at $147-148 in the South and $238 plus in the North. It's possible that significant trade volume will not surface until sometime Friday.
