GENERAL COMMENTS

Livestock futures are called to open mixed with strong gains quickly redeveloping in the lean hog complex. Cattle trade is under pressure with traders looking for additional direction from both meat values and the moves in grain markets. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher in light trade. Dow Jones is trading 88 points higher while the Nasdaq is 39 points higher.
