GENERAL COMMENTS

Livestock futures are called mixed to mostly higher. Lean hog futures are holding strong triple digit gains in overnight trade, but there is growing uncertainty of how aggressive buyers will remain once pit trade opens. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher, with Dow Jones posting a 65-point gain, while Nasdaq is up 24 points.
