GENERAL COMMENTS

Livestock futures are called to open mixed to mostly higher, although traders could start squaring positions through the end of the week. Moderate additional support could help firm buyer activity through midday. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading mixed, with Dow Jones posting 46 points higher, while Nasdaq is down 17 points.
