GENERAL COMMENTS

Once again lean hog futures are the market to watch with overnight trade posting most nearby contracts to the daily limit. This unchecked aggressive surge higher in prices is based on momentum and fear driving the market. It is uncertain just how much volume will be seen in the market early Wednesday. But if prices quickly move to daily limits, volume will be of little concern to most traders. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading mixed, with Dow Jones posting a 4-point loss, while Nasdaq is up 2 points.
