GENERAL COMMMENTS

Moderate gains are developing in early cattle trade with the expectation of potential firmness in cash activity. Lean hog trade remains mixed to mostly lower as traders continue to focus on concerns around pork demand. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher, with Dow Jones posting a 17-point gain, while Nasdaq is up 10 points.
