GENERAL COMMMENTS

Livestock futures are called mixed in a narrow range early Tuesday. The focus on potential moves in both outside markets and meat values is likely to keep most traders from moving prices too far from unchanged in the early minutes of trade. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher, with Dow Jones posting a 102-point gain, while Nasdaq is up 23 points.
