DTN Before The Bell-Livestock

Livestock futures are expected to trade in a narrow range through most of the morning with the focus on nearly absent trade presence in front of the holidays and last-minute contract positioning. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher, with Dow Jones posting 21 point gains, while Nasdaq is up 7 points.


Opening call: Steady to 30 cents higher. Moderate gains are redeveloping through the live cattle futures as traders are drawn to the potential for additional cash and wholesale beef market support at the end of the year. ...
