Hog buyers are moving to collect pre-Christmas live inventory this morning with bids steady to 0.50 lower than Friday. Cattle country is off to a typically slow start with packers exclusively focusing on the collection of new showlists. We expect the fed offering to be about steady with last week. Asking prices should be around $132-133 in the South and $210-212 in the North. The corn market is expected to open near steady in thin trade volume. The stock market is trading higher in the early rounds with the Dow industrials and S&P 500 furthering their record advance. ...
