GENERAL COMMENTS:

Moderate gains are developing across the livestock futures market early Thursday. Recent strong support in the dollar value and higher stock markets Wednesday has led to light spillover support in most commodity markets. Traders remain cautious as meat values still remain under pressure. Corn futures are trading higher in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading lower, with Dow Jones posting 5 point losses, while the Nasdaq is down 6 points.
