GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are mixed in light trade with the focus on renewed overnight support in lean hog futures. Strong gains have quickly developed in December futures following firmness in cash values. Cattle futures remain under pressure, although light trading volumes are keeping live cattle markets stuck in a narrow trading range. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading mixed, with Dow Jones posting a 52 point gain, while Nasdaq is down 2 points.
