GENERAL COMMENTS:

Packer inquiry in cattle feeding country is limited this morning with just a few bids of $205-206 noted in parts of the North. We assume Southern buyers will be willing to refresh preliminary bids of $129, but really haven't seen that so far. Hog buyers have started work bidding stead to $1 lower (mostly steady to 0.50 lower). Yesterday's reduction in hog slaughter was caused by technical problems at the Worthington plant.
