GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are called to open mostly mixed with nearby contracts holding light gains just before opening bell. The focus on strong gains in cash cattle trade midweek seems to be unable to draw active buying in futures markets at this point. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. The Dow Jones Index is 56 points higher while Nasdaq is up 6 points.
