GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are posting moderate to strong gains early Tuesday following a previously lackluster overnight trade. Buyer support is quickly developing in front-month lean hog futures market in the minutes before opening bell of pit-traded futures. Traders remain uncertain about just how much buyer interest remains in the market. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. The Dow Jones Index is 36 points higher while Nasdaq is up 19 points.
