GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are mixed with light trade expected through most of the morning. Traders in cattle markets are focusing on the potential for light to moderate early support with higher cash values last week supporting the market. Lean hog futures are expected to open under pressure due to struggling cash values and uncertainty about supply levels. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading mixed. The Dow Jones Index is 20 points lower while Nasdaq is up 11 points.
