GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are generally higher Wednesday morning following short covering developing through the cattle complex and renewed follow through support in nearby lean hog contracts. The expectation for light to moderate price support in nearby lean hog contracts is helping to stabilize the overall market just before pit trade opening bell. Corn futures are trading higher in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. The Dow Jones Index is 79 points higher while Nasdaq is up 25 points.
