GENERAL COMMENTS:

Pressure is quickly developing in live cattle and lean hog markets as traders focus on squaring positions in front of the weekend and end of the month. Traders are likely to spilt their attention on fundamental meat market moves and outside commodity and stock market direction through early trade. Even with the lower prices, volume is expected to remain sluggish through most of the morning. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. The Dow Jones Index is 50 points higher while Nasdaq is up 19 points.
