GENERAL COMMENTS:

Strong gains continue to develop in lean hog futures ahead of opening bell. Additional focus on uncertain pork supply levels is drawing buyers back to the market. Cattle futures are mixed in a narrow range with traders focusing on outside market direction. Corn futures are trading higher in early trade. The stock market is trading lower. The Dow Jones Index is 10 points lower while Nasdaq is down 5 points.
