GENERAL COMMENTS:

Cattle futures found additional buyer support in the minutes before opening pit trade. The focus on firmer beef values and pressure in corn markets is slowly drawing traders back into the market. Lean hog futures remain moderately lower, despite sluggish trade. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. The Dow Jones Index is 22 points higher while Nasdaq is up 10 points.
