GENERAL COMMENTS:

Trade through livestock futures is mixed to slightly lower ahead of opening pit trade. The strong gains seen Wednesday in both the live cattle and lean hog futures is being adjusted given lack of buyer support in corn futures. Sluggish activity will likely be evident through much of the morning. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading lower. The Dow Jones Index is 109 points lower while Nasdaq is down 38 points.
